The Leviathan Library: Comics Written and Illustrated by Levi

A manga-inspired comic that explores the psychological dangers of our modern world through the lens of retro nostalgia. Levi recently Kickstarted the first issue as a proof-of-concept for the ongoing series. This is Levi’s current project with 70+ pages completed thus far.

Mayflower

After a terrorist strike on a dystopian society paints scientist Roger Fergal as the culprit, he must turn to a radical society of idealists, the Mayflower Project, for help. Caught between their goals of bloodless revolution, the government’s technological control, and a violent terrorist, Roger must decide who, if any, he should tell of his discovery – the secret to faster-than-light travel. 130+ pages.

Halo: A Fistful of arrows

An unofficial companion piece to Bungie’s Halo: Reach, A Fistful of Arrows reveals the fate of the Spartan Jun of Noble Team as the planet Reach falls to the Covenant. As Jun struggles with what he must do to fulfil his last mission, he recalls his now fallen comrades through a series of flashbacks of Reach before its apocalypse.


Soldier of Fortune: Highlights of Levi’s Work For Hire

988 Tribal Response

In 2024, Levi began working with the Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma, one of the primary focuses being the Tribe’s 988 program. Levi created illustrations and designs for billboards, brochures, flyers, and social media.

I Can Be Me In KC

Levi worked with KC Mayor Sly James’ literacy non-for-profit, Turn the Page KC, to design a children’s book for the new KCI Airport that opened in 2023. The book showcased Kansas City to both visitors and locals alike, and highlighted local careers and homegrown artists.

Halo Encyclopedia

Levi illustrated a number of illustrations for the new Halo Encyclopedia from Microsoft and Dark Horse, including designing Offensive Bias and Mendicant Bias, two characters that have loomed large in the lore since Halo 3 first mentioned them. Levi also brought other characters to life, like the early human that would become 343 Guilty Spark.

Summer Reading Program

In 2020 and 2021, Levi handled the art for Kansas City Public Library‘s Summer Reading campaigns, helping to pioneer outreach for youth literacy amidst the pandemic. The campaign included posters, mailers, social media, prizes, and more.

Shadowrun

Levi contributed illustrations of characters, weapons, vehicles, and events to a handful of Shadowrun role-playing-game books.

Halo Evolutions

Levi’s “The Vitruvian Spartan” (seen left) illustrated the short story Pariah for this short story anthology from Tor Books.
